Closed

The Garum Factory is closed today to mark the passing of George Floyd and to acknowledge what animates so many people protesting right now: George Floyd did not have to die.

Jody and I have been reading and listening and – when invited – helping. We didn’t curate the list which follows. We know about half the books. Our children, by contrast, have read most of the works on this list and quite a bit more. Pick one book, any of them. Even a single book is a slippery slope.

We’ll be back with a terrific cherry compote next week. If you want to pretend that the world has gotten back to normal, nothing will stop you. For our part, we hope that it never goes back to normal again.

  1. Thank you for this.

This is what engagement looks like. This is what personal leadership looks like.
